Author, Del Martin, who passed away on August 27, 2008 was interviewed just a month earlier on her recollections of writing two ground-breaking and movement shaping books..."Lesbian/Woman" in 1972 (co-authored with her partner, Phyllis Lyon) and four years later, "Battered Wives" in 1976. "Battered Wives" was the first book ever on the subject of domestic violence in the United States.
